Marking the 35th anniversary of the Auction of Washington Wines, the industry, community and wine lovers alike will gather in recognition of past and present AWW honorees, established industry luminaries, and emerging and diverse leaders. While celebrating the TOAST! honorees, enjoy dinner by El Gaucho chefs, paired with top wines from Washington state. Hear from AWW’s 2022 Honorary Chairs Piero Antinori & Renzo Cotarella (Antinori) and Marvin Shanken (Wine Spectator), along with the 2022 Honorary Grower, Kevin Corliss and the 2022 Honorary Vintner, John Bookwalter.

Honorees are determined through an inclusive nomination process with an industry peer committee reviewing submissions and making final determinations. Honorees will be notified in advance and presented with their award during the TOAST! recognition dinner.

In addition to AWW’s Honorary Chairs, Vintner and Grower, awards will be given in the following categories:
1. Lifetime Achievement
The highest honor recognizing an individual whose extraordinary dedication, inspiration and advocacy for the Washington wine community that spans 25+ years in the industry.
2. Auction of Washington Wines Star Award
A donor, organization, or individual whose commitment significantly advanced AWW’s mission of uplifting the Washington wine industry and supporting the community.
3. Award of Distinction
A winery, grower representative, or industry professional whose achievements have advanced the caliber of the Washington wine industry. Examples: AVA development, research, investment, education, etc.
4. Emerging Leader
Emerging leader(s) whose contribution, service, or involvement are creating the pathway and/or vision for the future.
5. Healthy Land, Healthy Communities
Individuals or organizations who are looking at today’s environmental challenges and are developing equitable, viable, and responsible solutions. Examples: climate change, packaging, sustainable practices, etc.
6. Wine Industry Champion
Non-industry professionals whose cooperative support has positively influenced the success of the Washington wine industry, including members of the media, retail, wholesale, legislative/regulatory, or hospitality sectors.
7. Vine to Wine (vineyard manager/team member)
Individuals who are hands-on in the vineyard, including leading or collaborating with peers.
