Treveri Cellars

  • 100% Pinot Noir
  • Beautiful color and a fragrant nose make this Blanc de Noirs a distinct and ideal accompaniment to any
table. This sparkling wine boasts hints of strawberry and citrus with a touch of yeast on the palate.
  • This wine has been en tirage for over six years, giving this wine a subtlety of flavors and a delicacy not
found in most Washington sparkling wines.
  • Winemakers Juergen and Christian Grieb hand-selected the blocks of Pinot Noir for this wine from the
Marchant Vineyard, seeking grapes that highlight the unique characteristics of sparkling Pinot Noir.

Spring Valley Vineyard

  • 85% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Franc
  • This blend of Malbec and Cabernet Franc comes from the original Spring Valley Vineyard, planted in
2001 and 1995. With dark cherry notes hints of blueberry, this wine has a beautiful structure and
tannins that soften on the finish.
  • Estate vineyards follow the north-slope of the hills in vertical rows to allow optimal air drainage and
    sunshine.
  • Crop thinning, leaf pulling, harvesting is all done by hand.

Sparkman Cellars

  • 33.334% Grenache, 33.333% Syrah, 33.333% Mourvèdre
  • Greater Than Some is loaded with rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries, Asian spices, vanilla and a
beautiful tension that promises to evolve over time…a long, long time.
  • GSMs have been around since the ancient Australians of the 1980s (though the French and Spanish may
have something to say about that), but we have never done one. Until now. Grenache is a crazy, multi-
personality thing: Garnacha in Spain, Cannonau in Sardinia, a main component in Gigondas in the Rhône.
Similarly, Syrah sings a local song, and in this blend its bass notes deepen and amplify the other
varietals. Mourvèdre, new to our program in 2022, is its own beast, full of electricity and spice. Together
they are much more than the sum of their individual selves.
  • Greater Than Some 2022 is the first blend of its kind produced by Sparkman Cellars, created exclusively
for the Auction of Washington Wines Private Barrel Auction.

Revelry Vintners

  • 90% Syrah, 10% Grenache
  • This Syrah is a wine that is both brooding and savory, wonderfully expressive and aromatic. Silken
qualities on the palate, flavors of rich bramble fruit, and a lengthy finish. This is sure to age beautifully,
    though it is delicious now.
  • Constant exploration and experimentation are paramount in our pursuit of evoking the best qualities
from our Washington state vineyards. For years we have worked with two clones of Syrah from
Weinbau Vineyard, grown under the skilled and watchful eye of vineyard manager Miguel Rodriguez.
for this wine, we trialed a 50% whole cluster fermentation approach with clone 877 [S. Rhône in origin]
    with a beautiful result.
  • 90% Syrah Clone 877 [S. Rhône] from Weinbau Vineyard. 50% Whole Cluster Fermentation, 17 months
neutral French puncheon. 10% Grenache from Sagemoor Vineyard. Head Trained, 17 months neutral
    French oak

Matteo Wines

  • 99.86% Grenache, 0.14% Syrah
  • This expressive wine is layered with white pepper, cedar, and a perpetuating hint of tobacco. With no
new oak utilized, the structure and elegance of the wine has been perfectly preserved although
enjoyable today, this wine will benefit from at least six years of aging in the bottle.
  • Hand harvested early in the morning and delivered to the Winery. 50% de stemmed/hand sorted and
50% whole cluster, this Grenache was gently fermented in an open top French oak tank. Fermentation
and cap management were performed manually to mitigate any loss of varietal typicity. Post
fermentation the free run wine was drained directly to neutral French oak Barriques.
  • This wine will continue to beautifully age 10+ years in the bottle

Mark Ryan Winery

  • 81% Petit Verdot, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Petit Verdot from our finest blocks at Quintessence, Olsen and Ciel du Cheval, with a small amount of
Cabernet Sauvignon to elevate the blend. The Petit Verdot grapes from Quintessence offer explosive
blue fruit aromas and a layered, dynamic finish. The grapes from Olsen vineyard add layers of intense
floral notes and an expansive palate. Ciel du Cheval grapes provide a dense, meaty core of black and
blue fruits with a long supple finish. The Quintessence Cabernet Sauvignon contributes savory spice
notes with rich flavors and textures across the palate.
  • The 2021 vintage produced exceptionally low yields, the berries were remarkably small, and clusters
were extremely light, producing wines with amazing depth and intensity.
  • The fruit was hand harvested in mid-October and was fermented in 1.5, 2 and 5-ton open top
fermenters for 7-10 days. It was then lightly pressed to barrel, where it finished primary and malolactic
fermentation and was aged for 21 months in 71% new French oak.

J. Bookwalter

  • 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot
  • Black cherry, cassis, clove and caking spices with hints of tobacco. Richly dense and fruit forward, with a
bold, balanced texture. Juicy mid-palate, suave rounded tannins with a long ripe fruit finish. A classically
    powerful Cabernet!
  • Small lot fermentation aged in 100% large new format French oak barrels sur lees for 20 months

FIGGINS

  • 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
  • The wine is a saturated, dark crimson color, boasting an exotic nose of black fruits, baking spices, coffee,
caramel, and a hint of eucalyptus. Rich and plush with loads of fruit, framed by tannin that is abundant
but full of finesse. Finishes long and supple as it lingers on the palate.
  • FIGGINS is nestled in the Blue Mountain foothills overlooking the Walla Walla Valley And is inspired by
the success of the Figgins family’s Leonetti Cellar varietal wines. Chris Figgins planted the site in 2004
with the goal of cultivating single vineyard, Bordeaux-style wines of world class quality.
  • From the “Miracle Vintage of 2022” this Cabernet Sauvignon is made from the “Sunrise Block”. Berries
from this block are small and intense, which is reflected in the wine. A few things make this wine
unique, including that is grown at 1700′ elevation, on a unique trellis system called Lyre, which despite
its labor-intensive nature, doubles plant density per acre without increasing yields

Côte Bonneville

  • 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Classic DuBrul cherry, cassis, and bergamot are framed by lovely French oak notes of cocoa, tobacco,
allspice, and toast. Firm tannins and rich mouthfeel make this luscious age-worthy bottling a treat not
to be missed! A perfect pairing for Beef Wellington or Wild Mushroom Ragout.
  • This is a rare bottling of varietal Côte Bonneville Cabernet Sauvignon, from the famed DuBrul Vineyard.
This wine was specifically created for the Auction of WA Wines and is limited to the cases at the barrel
auction. A truly unique wine from this noted winery and vineyard.

Baer Winery

  • 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Petit Verdot
  • A nose rich with ripe black fruit such as black cherries and berries and Italian culinary herbs such as
oregano, thyme and rosemary, this savory blend was bottled in July 2023 under TCA-free cork.
  • Grapes were grown at salmon safe certified Stillwater Creek Vineyard. The Cabernet is a mix of six
clones and two vine trainings including the original own-rooted plantings from 2001 and a newer block
established in 2016. The Petit Verdot comes from one block planted in 2001.
  • The fruit was wholly destemmed and fermented in open top bins with twice daily punch downs and
aged in 68% new French oak for 20 months
