Vital Wines is a non-profit organization that dedicates 100% of its net proceeds from wine sales to go to promoting the health and wellness of vineyard and winery workers in Washington state.
Vital Wines utilizes the grant to help fund a bi-lingual Promotora de Salud Community Health Worker position in the Walla Walla Valley.
The AWW Industry Grant seeks to provide funding within industry communities to support the growth in the following areas:
Services that directly impact employees and/or families of employees of wine grape growers or wine producers
Wine and wine grape education or research
Other Washington wine industry needs which support industry diversity and growth

La Casa Hogar is a community organization which connects and educates Latina families in Yakima Valley, Wash. The grant supported La Casa Hogar’s Adult Education Programs for farmworkers, including wine grape pickers, growers and wine producers, as well as their families.
2019 – Walla Walla Community College Institute for Enology and Viticulture
Walla Walla Community College is an award-winning school focused on educating the next generation of vintners and viticulturists through hands-on training. Career training programs are designed to meet the growing demands of industry, so students graduate ready to work in their chosen profession.
2018 – SOS Health Services of Walla Walla
Providing health services to the under and uninsured, SOS Health Service sof Walla Walla is an urgent care facility that provides quality walk-in healthcare services to individuals without health insurance (or without adequate health insurance) in the Walla Walla Valley. SOS Health Services does not deny people access to services regardless of citizenship status or geographic location.
